Project 2011 and Edge of Africa Pathway Update.
The pathway to Edge of Africa is almost complete. Foliage has been added around it and sod is waiting to be laid. It should be open by mid-July. In Project 2011 news, the new pathway behind the old Clydesdale Barn has now opened with the old path closed and torn up. A new sign with the slogan: "Feel the spirit,Feel the speed:Coming Spring 2011" is now up at the front of the construction walls. On the park map they have now removed the Rhino Rally water portion,the Skyride,and the old pathway to Egypt. They have added Walkabout Way and the new pathway around the old barn and the new EOA pathway.

Walkabout Way Opening!
Today was a soft opening of the new attraction in the old Bird Gardens area. It is called Walkabout Way and is a new interactive animal experience where guests can hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies and see a great deal of other native Australian animals.
Kangaloom is the main attraction where guests can stroll through and encounter wallabies and kangaroos and hand feed them at scheduled feeding times which are posted at the entrance. Feedings are offered a few times a day.
Also,Check out the Aussie Station which gives guest encounters with animal ambassadors, and animal interactions and learning about conservation. Lastly, be sure to stop by The Kookaburra's Nest which is a free-flight aviary that houses any species native to Australia and other parts of the world.

Project 2011 and Edge of Africa Pathway Photo Update.
The train is now loading and unloading at the Nairobi station once again. The pathway to EOA is still being worked on and wood is being added. Over by the old Clydesdale barn and the old monorail station all brush has been cleared out and concrete has been torn up and being prepped for Project 2011.
