Today we headed out to Busch Gardens to see how construction has come along for Cheetah Hunt. While testing didn't take place during the time we were there from 9:30am to 1:30pm, we were told that testing did take place yesterday and should take place on and off this week. A full non stop test run has yet to happen but should happen soon and we will be sure to report on it when it does.
First off, Construction walls are down around the trench under the bridge and reveals netting on both sides and over the bridge. Theming is coming along great as usual around the station. Concrete work is almost complete and the walls on the second floor of the Crown Colony were removed giving us an even better look at the construction site. Work is also coming along on the new patio seating for Crown Colony and more poles for what looks to be a new outdoor bar.
Inside the station, there are new coverings on all the lights on the columns and they have awesome cheetah prints and vibrant colors on them. They really add to the warmness of the building. Also inside the station, a new sign has been put up for what we think is for the row numbers. High poles are being put up around the Cheetah Run area and look to be for a new fence of some sort. The arch to enter the crossroads is close to being complete as well and has some great little details in it.
Thanks for viewing and be sure to check back soon because construction is going full speed ahead!

Wow, I'm really anticipating how it's going to look in the end. My only problem is not the height, but the speed. Why emphasis the fact that this coaster has 3 launches, but only make them go 30, 60, and 40 mph. At least Maverick at Cedar Point had a top speed of 70 mph.If they are going to emphasis on speed, at least make it go faster. Even Montu, Kumba, and Sheikra have a faster speed; but I guess that is due to the lift hill. All I'm saying is that they should up the speed just a little bit. Plus we all know in the end what ever BGT makes BGW will try to make it bigger and better (ex: Shiekra > Griffon)
They're TESTING!!! Of course they'll speed it up for the ride.
I've been thinking the same thing! I was going 60 mph on the high way today, and all I kept thinking was "oh geeze, this is the fastest Cheetah HUnt will go", what a dud. I wont be surprised if a lot of enthusiasts are disappointed. To me. The theming around the ride will be more entertaining than the ride itself.
It better be worth the $75 I'm paying to get into the park.
