Busch Gardens & SeaWorld grant 1,000,000 dollars to animals in need

Cheetahs are one of the species that will benefit from more than $1 million in grants awarded this year by the non-profit SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund. The Fund approved grants to more than 100 wildlife protection projects including programs to reintroduce endangered cheetahs to the African wild, protect sea turtle nests across the world, educate and connect kids with the ocean, and help restore America’s fragile coasts. Since its creation eight years ago, the Fund has granted more than $8 million to protect wildlife and wild places.

Summer Nights 2011 Dance Challenge, Flash Mobs & General Event Review!

Over the past two weeks we have given you in-depth reviews of both Kinetix & Christopher Cool's Street Show. Today we conclude our coverage of Summer Nights 2011, unless something new is added, with a look at the Dance Challenge, Flash Mobs, and a general event review.

First off we saw the Summer Nights Dance Challenge. The Summer Nights Dance Challenge takes place in the Desert Grill. It is a one time a night event at 7pm! You can be apart of it by getting a sticker from a party starter for being an outgoing and great dancer at one of  three Summer Nights DJ Booths. They are located in Jungala, Stanleyville, and Gwazi Plaza. 

The Dance-Off is a three-round dance competition.The audience will pick the winner with the best moves by applause. The first place winner will receive four tickets to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. It is an upbeat and exciting Dance Challenge that you don't want to miss! 

Also apart of Summer Nights are other various forms of entertainment like the Spritzer Squad and Flashmobs around the park, acrobats and belly dancers in the Crossroads of Culture, DJ Booths around the park and a whole lot more! Along with the wonderful entertainment, you can ride your favorite coasters in the dark including Cheetah Hunt which is a whole new experience at night! Overall, Summer Nights 2011 is a great event that is great for all ages! From seeing the street magic of Christopher Cool, rockin' out with the cast of Kinetix, and riding Cheetah Hunt in the dark, It is an event that you dont want to miss!

End Your Visit With A Bang On July 2nd-4th With Fireworks At Busch Gardens Tampa!

This Fourth of July Weekend, Busch Gardens Tampa is celebrating with a bang! Fireworks will ignite the sky nightly July 2nd through the 4th. Fireworks began right after Kinetix, around 9:30pm. Don't forget to also experience Kinetix which performs nightly at 9:00pm and see the breathtaking street magic of Christopher Cool! While the fireworks run July 2nd through the 4th, the rest of Summer Nights 2011 run through August 14th! 

Cheetah Hunt Exhibit #2: How Busch Gardens Got Their Spots!

A few weeks ago we gave you an in-depth look at the Cheetah Hunt gift shop, Cheetah Gifts, and its exhibit. Today we are giving you an in-depth look at another exhibit in the Cheetah Hunt area but this one is a bit more hidden. 

Located by the elevator for Cheetah Hunt is another exhibit entitled, "How Busch Gardens Got Their Spots".  This exhibit shows off a lot of the theming aspects of the coaster more than the technical aspects of it like the other exhibit. While this is an exhibit you should go see your self, some highlights included a look at the different concepts of the "cheetah rock". One concept included a "cheetah skull"! The "cheetah skull" looked amazing and reminded me of skull rock in Disneyland Paris but better! More concept art showed a B & M track along with the heartline roll being placed in the Rhino Rally Canyon vs. just outside it. This exhibit is something that any Rollercoaster Enthusiast will appreciate along with any Architectural Geek! Be sure to check it out just inside  the entrance for Cheetah Hunt and to your left! I have to say that Busch Gardens, PGAV and everyone else involved in creating this really outdid themselves! Just follow signs towards the elevator. Fiends & Rock A Doo Wop Return This Fall

According to Busch Gardens Tampa's Casting Page, Fiends will be returning for this years Howl-O-Scream! For those of you who don't know, Fiends is a musical comedy show featuring the now infamous Dr. Freakenstein and his crazy assistant Igor and their famous Naughty Nurses! It also features a ton of Halloween hits like "Time Warp", "Monster Mash" & More!

Also returning this Fall is Rock A Doo Wop is a musical production featuring the greatest hits of the 50's and 60's. It features favorite songs like "This Magic Moment" & "Sherry". Keep checking back for more information on entertainment offerings at Busch Gardens Tampa & the latest information on Howl-O-Scream 2011!

Summer Nights 2011 Christopher Cool Interactive Street Show Review!

While we reviewed Kinetix last week, this week we are focusing on a new addition to Summer Nights. Christopher Cool's Interactive Street Show started this past week and is like no other ordinary magic show! It includes something for everyone: comedy, magic, and more! His illusions go from card tricks all the way to an escape! 
Yesterday we were treated to a cool new trick where he took a 20 dollar bill from someone and made it appear in a lemon which he had with the audiences signatures on it too! This guy sure knows how to get a crowd! Tons of people flooded his area and it was full of laughter and amazement. He interacts with the crowd asking for volunteers throughout the show and is truly a great magician. 
I recommend this show to anyone! From 3 years old's who were in awe to 63 year old's who were just as amazed this show has something for everyone! It really brings some great energy to the Morrocan Village. He is performing in the Morroccan Village Tuesday-Sundays nightly at 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8pm through August 14th!  His previously announced stage show is now transformed into the street show which makes it a ton more interactive and immersive!
